Lesotho striker Thapelo Tale joins Kick4Life

Kick4Life have added more firepower in Thapelo Tale...
Lesotho striker Thapelo Tale has completed his move to silverware-chasing Kick4Life on a six-month deal after leaving Lioli last month.

Tale joins at a pivotal juncture for the club.

Kick4Life are in third place in the Vodacom Premier League, a point behind leaders Bantu and they make their LNIG Top 8 debut on Sunday.

The Old Europa outfit hopes Tale will provide a boost as they look to cap a historic season for the club.

Kick4Life director of football Chris Bullock said Tale will bring experience and increase coach Leslie Notši’s options in the run-in.

“He will bring experience and fits in to our style of play. He also gives us a bit more strength in depth,” he said.

“We are looking to secure a top four finish as well as looking to do well in the LNIG Top 8 so he will be important in trying to achieve that.”

Tale is the latest big name player to join the revolution at Kick4Life linking up with the likes of Thabo Masualle, Bokang Mothoana and most recently Likano Teele. He is also the second Lioli player to join the ambitious Old Europa project after Nkoto Masoabi made a similar move last September.

Tale began his career with Likhopo in 2007 before sealing a high-profile switch to Lioli at the start of this season but he struggled for game-time with the champions.

During the 2011/12 season the 28 year-old featured for FK Srem in Serbia. He has been one of the country’s most prolific strikers over the past decade and is Lesotho’s all-time leading scorer in the COSAFA Castle Cup with four goals across two tournaments.

Tale is in line to make his debut when Kick4Life face Sundawana in the first leg of the sides’ LNIG Top 8 quarterfinal on Sunday at the Maputsoe DiFA Stadium.
